Minimum Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications for the position
1.Must have served as a resident or consulting priest in Hindu Temples either in India or abroad.
2.Shall be able to independently conduct daily rituals and festivals in the temple and Hindu family residences. Broader understanding of traditional Hindu rituals and festivals of various regions of India is required.
3.Collegiate education with an undergraduate degree is required.
4.Must be able to communicate fluently with devotees in spoken English and Hindi. Communication in any other Indian language like–Telugu, Tamil,Malayalam and Kannada etc. will be an asset.
5.Must be able to perform all the following services such as–Jathakarma, Namakaranam, Annaprashanam, Aksharaabhyasam, Vivaham (Wedding) Seemantham, Bhoomi Poojan, Gruhapravesham, Upaakarma (Thread changing Ceremony), Nishchayathartham (Engagement), Varalakshmi Vratham, Sathyanarayana Pooja, Brahmotsavam, Kalyana Uthsavams, Nithya Pooja and various homam/havan and all Poorva Karma.
6.Ability to lead Stotra recitation (beyond Panchadasa Karma hymns).
